Amend2 is an American brand specializing in equipment and accessories for sport shooting and demanding environments. Known for its robust materials and field-oriented designs, the brand develops reliable solutions to improve the safety, durability, and user comfort of shooting equipment.
The Amend2 Suppressor Cover is a thermal cover designed to protect the shooter and equipment when using a sound suppressor . Its robust construction in 1000D CORDURA® combined with a high-resistance lining effectively limits heat transfer.
During extended shooting sessions, a sound moderator can reach extremely high temperatures. This thermal cover was developed to limit heat dissipation. Specifically, it protects the shooter, equipment, and the immediate surroundings from the risks associated with hot surfaces.
The outer layer uses CORDURA® 1000D , a high-tenacity nylon renowned for its abrasion resistance and durability. This fabric is widely used in tactical and military equipment for its ability to withstand harsh conditions while maintaining its strength.
Inside, a double layer of fiberglass and silicone acts as a thermal barrier. This combination effectively reduces heat transfer and preserves the integrity of the material, even under heavy use. The entire assembly is designed to withstand temperatures up to approximately 1600°F (≈870°C).
The cover is held in place by self-gripping Nomex® straps , a material known for its heat resistance. A tri-glide metal buckle completes the fastening system and ensures reliable tension without risk of deformation under the effect of heat.
Available in three lengths - 4.5", 6", and 7.5" - this cover fits a wide variety of sound moderators . This versatility allows users to choose the size best suited to their setup.
It limits the heat diffusion produced by the sound moderator during repeated firing and protects the user and equipment from very hot surfaces.
The internal fiberglass and silicone lining is designed to withstand temperatures up to approximately 1600°F (approximately 870°C).
Simply select the length that corresponds to that of the sound moderator: 4.5 inches (11.43 cm), 6 inches (15.24 cm) or 7.5 inches (19.05 cm).
