The DD5 SBR combines the power of .308 caliber (7.62x51mm) with a compact and ergonomic design. With its 12.5-inch cold-forged barrel and an optimized recoil system, it offers exceptional accuracy and increased maneuverability. Designed for professionals and enthusiasts, it is perfectly suited to tactical environments and critical missions.

The DD5 SBR offers all the benefits of full-size rifles, but in a smaller package. This highly accurate and durable rifle is built around a 12.5-inch barrel, mid-length gas system, adjustable gas block that provides a consistent feel whether firing suppressed or not, and features the Daniel Defense Linear Compensator. The advanced bolt carrier group reduces overall recoil impulse and is easy to maintain and use in all conditions. Designed around a cold hammer-forged barrel with an innovative 4-bolt connection system, this design significantly increases the surface area between the barrel and upper receiver for increased rigidity/stability to achieve accuracy traditionally found only in high-end bolt-action rifles.

  • Lower: Improved flared magazine well and rear receiver QD attachment point. CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard coat anodized.
  • Upper: CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hard coat anodized.
  • Barrel: Daniel Defense proprietary steel, cold hammer forged, 1:10'' groove, 12.5″ S2W Profile, Mid-length Gas System, Chrome Lined, Mil-Spec Heavy Phosphate Coated.
  • Gas Block: User adjustable gas block, CNC machined from hardened 4140 steel and coated with Mil-Spec heavy phosphate, mid-length, direct impingement.
  • Muzzle Device: Daniel Defense Linear Compensator, 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt bath nitride finish.
  • Trigger: Daniel Defense Mil-Spec
  • Handguard: Daniel Defense DD5 Rail 10.5'', Machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum, M-LOK, Type III, Anodized
  • Stock tube: 7075-T6 aluminum, 6 Mil-Spec positions.
