Singer Safety® designs, develops, standardizes and manufactures a complete range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) intended to protect people at work. The story takes its source almost 120 years ago, in the north of France, in Saint Omer. Two brothers, Achille and Maurice Singer invest in a tannery and produce saddlery articles. After the Second World War, the Audomaroise factory was in ruins. The bombings could have got the better of the family business, but that was without counting on the entrepreneurial spirit pegged to the body of the second generation, which then took the destiny of the farm in hand. Michel and Etienne, Maurice's sons, decide to invest in modern production tools in order to manufacture protective gloves, mainly in leather, to satisfy a growing demand from industry. In the 1970s, the story accelerated. Visionaries, the two brothers anticipate the changes that will gradually mark the world economy. This resolutely innovative strategic positioning enables the company to design and manufacture new products, expand its offer and extend its influence on the world market. The 90s saw the arrival of the third generation. Michel's sons, Laurent and Patrick, take over the management of the company, continue, strengthen and accelerate its development based on values that are dear to them.
